SilverOaks Baptist Church began as a mission church in 1994 with seven (7) volunteers and the Golden Triangle Baptist Association helping them begin.  Rev. Terry Wright (then pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Bridge City) was instrumental in helping us begin and stay on the right pathway  without making some big and costly missteps.  A church on FM 1442 was a vision had by the Rev. Clyde Self and we are so happy we've been able to see it through.  This year we will celebrate twenty five years as a church, dedicating ourselves and ministry totally to God.
